This is something I’ve been thinking a lot about lately.  We can sometimes bring anxiety about past experience into worrying about the future.  I’m someone who worries about the future constantly.  Trying to stay present is something I work on constantly.  Just because something happened in the past doesn’t mean it will happen in the future.  What happened in the past cant be changed, let it go.  Unless you’re psychic you don’t know what’s going to happen in the future, so focus on today.  In my experience I get myself so worked up over the future and I end up worrying for nothing, because the outcome either couldn’t have been avoided or it ends up being even better.  So why am I worrying?  It’s pointless.

What is it in your past that is bringing anxiety into your present?  Acknowledge it and let it go.  What is it that brings you anxiety about your future?  List it out.  Only think about your future in terms of this week.  What in that list can you accomplish this week?
